The Republic of Congo, headed by Mr. Denis Sassou Guesso, is currently the centre of financial issues and energy crisis. The Congolese President visited Dubai on his way to attend the invitation of Emir of Abu Dhabi Khalifa ben Zayed Al Nahyan, to express his ambitions related to investment and support from His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum.
In the course of interaction with His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum, the Congolese President expressed his intention of getting support to attain economical and financial stability for the Republic of Congo. His Highness expressed his opinion to provide adequate support in the fields of hydrocarbons, electricity, and infrastructure.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum has always expressed his interest to invest in the power, energy and infrastructural projects. Due to his contribution in the growth and development of the above-mentioned sectors, His Highness has entered into agreements with many nations like Pakistan, Tatarstan, Malabo, Cambodia and Mauritius, etc. Since Congo has an abundance of natural gas reserves, these natural resources can be effectively utilised to sustain and promote renewable sources of energy and take Congo out of the electricity crisis situation.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum also shared his views on the diversification of energy projects. According to him, the diversification has the potential to lower production costs and make energy affordable to all the nationals of the Republic of Congo.
This is the second meeting with the President of the Republic of Congo after 2017. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum also extended his hands towards the bilateral relationship and clarified the current stage of investment and development. Now that the relevant documentation and formalities have been cleared, he claimed that the infrastructure projects would be starting within a year.
